clark planetarium

Monday last week we met up with Christie and Billy at the Clark Planetarium downtown Salt Lake City. It was Olivea's first time there. We got there a little bit early so we were playing with the cool toys in the gift shop. Liv was in heaven playing with all of the flexiable tubing that they had in the gift shop. They also had this cool, cheap thing called the Pet Tornado. It was very neat thing to see.

So after playing in the gift shop we decided to wait by the door for Christie and Billy to come. What was neat was while we were waiting this guy with his family comes up and gave us 4 free tickets! to a laser show called The Black hole. We were stunned that someone just gave us free tickets. It was very nice of the guy so it was perfect timing the show was starting in a couple minutues right when Christie and Billy finally joined us.

So away we went into the laser show we were unsure of how Liv was going to react to being in the dark and the loud noises. She was scared at first and then started peeking through her fingers to watch bits and pieces of it. Then I guess since it was dark she fell asleep in daniels arms! So at least she got in a power nap and we all enjoyed the laser show.

After the laser show we decided to go get some ice cream from Cold stone before heading to Gma Barb's house to play a round of rook. This is a game that has been in my family for years. Its a tradition that I want to pass on to our kids. Christie and I won the round ;). We were going to plan on doing lights but we had a snowstorm and plus it was so beyond cold and with me having my arm in a sling we didnt want to risk it. So hopefully next year we will be able to take Liv to the temple lights.
